Using NellDex

What is NellDex?

NellDex is an educational business-readiness platform. It helps entrepreneurs organize practical actions around business credit, vendor planning, funding preparation, banking, documents, resources, and learning.

What should I do first?

Start with Getting Started, then follow the first incomplete card. After that, use the Readiness Report to see your strengths, gaps, and next 7-day plan.

Where is the Operating Plan?

Open Dashboard, then choose Weekly Review. The Overview page also has a large Operating Plan banner near the top that links directly to Weekly Review.

Where is the launch signoff?

Open Dashboard, then choose Live Review. The Launch Signoff checklist is on the same page as launch readiness, founder decision, and the issue log.

What are Next live checks?

Overview and Live Review show the next unchecked Phase 1 review items. Use those buttons when you want NellDex to point you to the next thing to check.

How do I know Phase 1 is ready?

Open Live Review or Roadmap and review the Launch readiness summary. Phase 1 is ready when all checklist items are checked, the Founder decision is Ready to promote, Launch Signoff has no items marked Review, and the Launch Issue Log has no open issues.

Where do I record the launch decision?

Open Live Review and use Founder launch decision. Choose Reviewing, Ready to promote, Hold for fixes, or Promote later, then copy the decision note if needed.

Where are Mark passed and Add note to issue log?

Open Dashboard, then choose Live Review. The Phase 1 checklist on that page has Mark passed, Add note to issue log, and Clear note on each card.

How do I finish the launch review faster?

Open Live Review, Updates, or Roadmap and use Complete launch review when the live pass is finished. That marks the checklist complete, sets the Founder decision to Ready to promote, and marks signoff Ready. Use Reset full review if you need to restart.

How do I clear resolved launch issues?

Open Updates and use Mark all issues fixed in the Launch readiness summary or Mark all fixed in the Launch Issue Log. This changes issue statuses to Fixed without deleting the notes.

How do checklist notes become launch issues?

Open Live Review, write a note on the checklist card, then use Add note to issue log. The issue will appear on the same page under Launch Issue Log.

How do I share the launch review?

Open Dashboard, then choose Live Review or Updates. Use Copy launch review summary or Email launch summary to share the readiness status, blocking items, checklist, founder decision, signoff, and issue log.

How is my progress saved?

Your completed Credit Builder, banking, learning, vendor, saved-resource, and funding-preference actions are saved privately to your NellDex account.

How do the worksheet tools save?

The Weekly Review, Funding Offer, Banking Comparison, Vendor Application, Credit Monitoring, Learning Notes, Document Collection, and Resource Follow-up worksheets save on the device/browser you use. They are meant for planning notes, not sensitive document storage.

Credit, vendors, and D‑U‑N‑S

What is a D‑U‑N‑S Number?

It is Dun & Bradstreet’s unique nine-digit business identifier. You can look up or request one directly through D&B; it does not guarantee credit or funding.

Why does Settings ask for business identity details?

Business phone, address, email/domain, and D‑U‑N‑S status help you keep records consistent across banks, vendors, bureaus, and funding providers. They are used for organization and roadmap guidance, not approval decisions.

Where do I learn more after choosing D‑U‑N‑S status?

In Settings, use the 'What is a D‑U‑N‑S Number?' link under the D‑U‑N‑S status field. It opens the Credit Builder explanation and D&B lookup/request links.

How do vendor resources work?

NellDex provides educational starting points. Always buy goods or services your business truly needs, confirm current terms directly with the provider, and pay invoices on time.

What should I use the vendor application tracker for?

Use it before applying to one vendor. Record the business reason, expected spend, application date, first invoice due date, and proof/payment reminders so your vendor plan stays intentional.

Documents, resources, and funding

Do I upload documents into NellDex?

Not right now. The Documents section tells you what to gather and how to organize it, but sensitive files should stay in your secure storage system.

What is the document collection tracker for?

Use it to check off which records you have gathered and note where they are stored securely. Do not paste private document contents, account numbers, tax IDs, or passwords into NellDex.

What is the resource follow-up planner for?

Use it after saving a link or vendor. Pick one resource, write why it matters, choose the section it supports, and set one follow-up action so saved links do not become clutter.

What is the funding offer worksheet for?

Use it before accepting financing. Capture the provider, amount, total repayment, payment schedule, funding purpose, fees, repayment rules, and risk items so you can review the offer carefully.

What is the banking comparison worksheet for?

Use it when comparing two business banking options. It helps compare fees, limits, deposit fit, tools, support, and the reason one account fits your business better.

What is the learning notes worksheet for?

Use it after a lesson, glossary term, or saved resource. Capture one insight, one term to review, one advisor question, and one dashboard action so learning turns into movement.

What is the difference between saved vendors and saved resources?

Saved vendors are part of your vendor plan and can move from saved to applied to active. Saved resources are helpful links from the resource library. Both appear inside Saved Resources, where you can filter by type, section, source, and search terms.

What do resource quality signals mean?

Published resources show source labels, admin-reviewed tags, a visible Review date line, official-source counts, and reminders to verify details at the original source before acting. Older resources may say Not saved yet until they are edited or republished.

Does NellDex approve loans or guarantee funding?

No. NellDex does not lend money, make credit decisions, or guarantee approval. Lenders and providers set their own eligibility, rates, terms, and decisions.

Admin and account help

What are admin-curated resources?

They are links reviewed through the NellDex admin workflow before being published into dashboard sections. Review the original source before relying on any provider requirement or deadline.

Are banking and official resources managed manually?

Not entirely. NellDex can queue official SBA and IRS resource suggestions on a schedule, but an admin still reviews and approves them before they appear for users. This keeps publishing controlled instead of automatic.

What is the Admin maintenance rhythm?

Open Admin and use Maintenance Rhythm once a week to review pending suggestions, check library balance, refresh weak sections, and verify user-facing resource clarity.

What is Library Balance?

Library Balance is an Admin section that shows published and draft resource counts by Vendor, Funding, Learning, and Banking so you can see which areas need more depth.

How do I summarize scheduled resource suggestions?

Open Admin, then use Copy queue summary in the Scheduled Review Queue. It copies pending, approved, dismissed, duplicate, and visible-suggestion details.

How do I summarize the resource library?

Open Admin, use the Admin Guide card labeled Content Library summary, then choose Copy library summary. It copies total, published, draft, filtered, and visible-resource details.

Why do I not see a Dismiss button in Admin?

Dismiss only appears on pending resource suggestions. Approved or dismissed suggestions are reviewed history, so they do not show action buttons.

How do I reset my password?

Go to the sign-in page, choose Forgot password, enter your account email, and open the reset link NellDex sends you.

Quick troubleshooting

Can’t sign in

Use Forgot password from the sign-in page. If the reset email does not arrive, check spam and confirm you used the same email address as your account.

Progress did not update

Refresh the page, then try the action again. NellDex saves most progress after you mark an item complete, save preferences, or update a status.

A resource link changed

Use the original source as the authority. If something looks outdated, email the NellDex team with the page and link.

Live site update helper

If a new button is missing, start here.

Vercel usually updates quickly, but your browser can still show an older page for a minute. Refresh once, then open the direct page link.
